Over the past 30 years in banking, I had the opportunity to work for regional and local banks, including a large credit union. During these years, I have worked with various credit analysts with a wide range of knowledge, sophistication, understanding of risk, personalities, drive and work ethics. Throughout these years, working with Jeff for several years at a large regional bank was a great experience and I knew that the loan presentation that Jeff prepared would be of excellent quality which would provided the reader, whether it would be loan committee, board of directors, auditor and or FDIC examiner, the ability to fully understand the loan request, the borrower, management of the company, borrower’s historical financial performance and its future, review of collateral, the borrower’s industry, associated risks, and “painting the picture” of a borrower’s historical performance and cash flow, which included events/items that occurred during those fiscal years that impacted its financial performance, whether positive or negative.
